Deeply committed to creating communities of hope, Calvary Retirement Communities provide compassionate care and support to people in residential aged care and independent living services. You too can play a key role in enriching the lives of the people we serve. These people include: • Older people needing support in residential care or at home • People with a mental illness and their families • Older homeless people and those at risk of being homeless • People with dementia and their carers • Frail older people experiencing ill health and disability • Socially isolated older people and those without family support We welcome and very much appreciate any support that you are able to offer. Whether you make an instantaneous donation online, leave a gift in your will, or volunteer your time or services, your contribution will help us to take that extra step to further enhance the quality of life of each person in our care – regardless of age, health or circumstances. • Donate

We gratefully accept and welcome a range of non-monetary gifts and services. A gift to Calvary Retirement Community in memory of a loved one is a wonderful way to remember someone, and at the same time help improve the lives of the sick, frail, elderly and marginalised people we care for every day.You can direct your gift to any of Calvary Retirement Community or individual services that you would like to help, or to where it is most needed. Upon receipt of your donation, we will notify the family of the person you have made your donation in memory of, to let them know about your gift. Bequests
Every day our employees, volunteers and friends endeavour to enrich lives, uphold dignity and respond to the special needs of the people in our care. You too can play a key role in enriching the lives of the people we serve.
A valid will is important to ensure your assets are distributed according to your wishes. Calvary Retirement Community welcomes consideration of a bequest from your estate, at a level that is comfortable for you.
There are a number of different types of bequests:
· A percentage of your estate - This ensures that other beneficiaries are not affected by changes in the size of your estate or by inflation.
· The residue of your estate - The monies and assets remaining after providing for other beneficiaries and debts.
· A specific sum of money - You can nominate a specific amount.
· A specific asset - This may be in the form of real estate, shares, bonds or particular items of value.
You can choose to gift your bequest to Calvary Retirement Community or a particular project, or allow us to contribute your gift to where it is most needed. We recommend that you seek advice from your legal representative when making or updating your Will. However to include some wording in your Will to be able to provide a simple bequest to Calvary Retirement Community. Bequest Wording can be found here.

Volunteer
Volunteers are valued members of Calvary Retirement Community and play an integral role in improving the quality of life for the sick, frail, elderly and marginalised people we serve.
With the help of volunteers, we can extend and enhance the many services and activities offered to our residents. Volunteering with Calvary Retirement Community provides the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of the people we care for.
There is a real satisfaction in knowing that you''''ve improved the quality of life for someone else, plus you can learn new skills, make new friends and have a lot of fun in the process!
· Visiting older people in residential services or in private homes
· Fundraising events and activities
· Assisting with activities in residential services and day centres (craft, games etc)
· Pastoral care
· Outings/community transport
· Telephone service to lonely & isolated people
· Gardening
· Assisting with dog therapy
· Assisting with food preparation and serving
· Reading to visually impaired people
